New Online Courses

IBEW Canada in Conjunction with your Local are pleased to Announce the Renewal of 240 Prepaid Online Training Courses for You our Members and your Friends and Families

We are pleased to announce that we have prepaid for courses covering subjects from Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 to WHMIS 2015 to Back Safety to Basic Finance. A number of these courses are authored in French. The course will be available to you and your friends and families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until May 1, 2019. That means that you have 3 years to take and retake any or all of the courses. Be sure to take advantage of as many courses as possible, we are certain that you and all of your friends and family members will find a number of courses that will address both your needs and interests.

 that you sign on, you will need to enter:

  • The IBEW Password which is: IBEW2
  • Your Membership Card Number: That is the number on your IBEW Membership Card for example 123456 or 123456AA or AB123456. If you do not know your Membership Card Number, you can use any unique number such as your home phone number or postal code without any spaces for example 4169492211 or L3P4R9.


The First time that you sign on, you will need to enter a little extra information so that we can set you up.

  • First Name: So that we can identify you properly in the system when you return.

Funding for Specialized Training

The IBEW is pleased to announce that we have funded seats available for Electronic Vehicle Infrastructure Training, Arc Flash / Arc Blast Training, and Mobile Equipment Training. To be eligible for the funding you must have an up to date certified journeyperson certificate and have worked in your designated trade. Class calls will be issued to you from the Apprenticeship and Trades Certification Division, and applications for this training must be submitted to government 4 weeks prior to the start date.
